Santa Clara Golf Marbella is an 18-hole, par-71 parkland course a few kilometres east of Marbella, designed by Enrique Canales Busquets and opened in 2001. Lakes, a stream that winds across the course and elevated greens make it a varied round with views of the Mediterranean and the Sierra Blanca. On this page you can check live tee time availability, compare green fees and book instantly, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before your round.
Santa Clara Golf sits on gently undulating ground just east of Marbella, along the old N-340 coast road, with the Sierra Blanca behind it and the Mediterranean in front. It opened in 2001 and was built with respect for the native trees and wildlife, so it feels more like a golf park than a resort course.
Enrique Canales designed a parkland layout that is technical but fair: a stream crosses the course, several lakes come into play and many greens are raised above the fairway. The long par-5 8th drops from the highest point of the course almost to sea level, and the closing hole finishes beside a lake. The stretch from the 12th to the 14th, a par 4, par 3 and par 5 known as the Santa Clara Corner, asks for long, accurate shots.
Signature stretch: the Santa Clara Corner, holes 12, 13 and 14. A par 4, a par 3 and a par 5 in a row that test both distance and accuracy.
Green fees at Santa Clara Golf Marbella change with the season, the day of the week and the time of day, so the best way to see the exact price is to search your date in the booking box. As a general guide:
| When you play | What to expect |
|---|---|
| High season (Feb–May, Sep–Nov) | The most popular months for golf. Morning tee times sell out first, so book well in advance. |
| Low season (Jun–Aug, Dec–Jan) | Usually the lowest green fees of the year. In summer, play early or take a twilight time to avoid the midday heat. |
| Afternoon and twilight | Often cheaper than morning slots and ideal if you want a quieter round. |
| Weekdays vs weekends | Weekdays tend to have more availability; weekend slots fill up faster. |
The Costa del Sol enjoys around 320 days of sunshine a year. Spring (February–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best months for golf. Winters are mild and popular with northern European golfers, and in July and August early or twilight tee times are the most comfortable.
The course is on the N-340 at km 187.5, east of Marbella town centre, with easy access from the A-7 coast road and the AP-7 motorway. Parking is available at the clubhouse.
