La Finca Golf is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Algorfa, on the southern Costa Blanca, designed by Pepe Gancedo and opened in 2002. Wide fairways, greens with very different shapes and contours, and lakes with waterfalls make it one of the best-known courses in the Vega Baja. La Finca Golf lies in a Mediterranean valley near Algorfa, in the Vega Baja area of Alicante, surrounded by citrus groves and with mountains on the horizon. It is part of La Finca Resort, which also has a five-star hotel with spa, so it works well as a base for a golf break a short drive from Torrevieja and the coast.
Pepe Gancedo, one of Spain’s best amateur golfers before turning to design, gave the course generous fairways that let you use the driver with confidence. The challenge is on and around the greens: each one has its own shape and contours, with many flag positions, so reading putts is key. Holes 5 and 6 feature lakes and waterfalls, including an island green, and water comes into play again on the back nine.
What makes it different: the greens. Each has its own shape, from a square green to deep, rounded ones, so no two approaches or putts feel the same.

The southern Costa Blanca has one of the driest, sunniest climates in Europe. Autumn, winter and spring (October–May) are the best months for golf. Summer is hot, so early-morning or twilight tee times are the most comfortable.
The course is at km 3 on the Algorfa–Los Montesinos road, in the Vega Baja area of Alicante, with easy access from the AP-7 and CV-95. Parking is available at the clubhouse.
