The K Club is a 36-hole golf resort in Straffan, County Kildare, with two championship courses designed by Arnold Palmer on a 550-acre estate along the River Liffey. Its Palmer North course hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup, won by Europe, and the resort is about 35–40 minutes from Dublin Airport. On this page you can check live tee time availability, compare green fees and book instantly, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before your round.
The K Club sits on a historic estate on the banks of the River Liffey in Straffan, west of Dublin, with a five-star hotel at its heart. It is one of the best-known golf venues in Ireland and one of only a handful of European courses to have hosted the Ryder Cup.
Arnold Palmer designed both courses. Palmer North, the Ryder Cup course, is a long parkland layout through mature trees, with the Liffey and several lakes in play; from the back tees it measures over 7,300 yards. Palmer South, which opened later, has a more open, inland-links feel with rolling fairways, water and deep bunkers. Together they make the estate a two-day golf destination.
Ryder Cup history: Europe beat the United States on Palmer North in 2006. Playing the closing holes beside the Liffey is a highlight of any visit.
Green fees at The K Club change with the season, the day of the week and the time of day, so the best way to see the exact price is to search your date in the booking box. As a general guide:
| When you play | What to expect |
|---|---|
| High season (Apr–Sep) | The longest days and the best course conditions of the year. Tee times go fast, so book well ahead. |
| Low season (Oct–Mar) | Lower green fees and quieter tee sheets. Pack waterproofs, as Irish weather can change quickly. |
| Afternoon and twilight | Often cheaper than morning slots and ideal if you want a quieter round. |
| Weekdays vs weekends | Weekdays tend to have more availability; weekend slots fill up faster. |
The best months to play in Kildare are April to September, with long daylight hours and the courses at their best. The resort is open all year, but autumn and winter can be wet and windy, so check the forecast and bring waterproofs.
The resort is in Straffan, County Kildare, west of Dublin, reached via the M4 or N7 motorways. Parking is available at the clubhouse.
